Ken-A-Vision Announces the FlexCam® 2, a HD 1080P classroom document camera

Kansas City  – June 22, 2012  – Ken-A-Vision, a leading manufacturer of digital presentation solutions, document cameras, microscopes and applications software for the educational market, announced today the debut at ISTE 2012 of the new FlexCam® 2 (FC2), a HD1080P classroom document camera at $399.

“The FlexCam® 2 boasts state of the art, never before seen firsts for the document camera market as you would expect from the original flexible document camera maker,” said Steve Dunn, President of Ken-A-Vision. “We work closely with a wide range of educators listening to their needs and requests as we design and develop our products. We are confident they will enjoy the performance and portability the FlexCam® 2 offers.”

The ergonomic rubber camera head has three buttons, providing easy fingertip access to lights, auto focus and image rotation. The quick focus camera offers full-motion video and MJPEG coding for compressed files on any software application.

The patented, non-sagging neck construction has 360-degree flexibility allowing instructors to position the camera on any subject for any length of time. The weighted flat base won’t tip as the user moves the camera with one-hand.

The included Applied Vision™ 4 software is quick plug-and-play.  Instructors will enjoy how easy, intuitive and feature-rich the collaborative software is.  Budget conscious customers will appreciate the unlimited user licenses and free software updates for the life of the product.
